Trip Report: Islamorada
By ISL_Ashley at 10/17/2008 - 20:19

Just back from a relaxing yet adventurous trip to Islamorada's Cheeca Lodge & Spa, a property truly unique to the Florida Keys with one of the most personable staffs around.

Cheeca's pier is 525 feet long, jetting out into the Atlantic Ocean. Many water sports start and end off the pier, including trips to Alligator Lighthouse for snorkeling.

Cheeca's tiki torches light the entire property at night.

One of the most serene parts of the property is the overwater lounge chairs and waterfalls by spa island.

Cheeca hosts the Keys Battle of the Chefs every October. This is a great way to combine low season and a seriously tasty event. You'll eat creations from the Keys' best chefs for 8 hours straight.
