a student in Italy or volunteer in Ghana?

My bestfriend really want to travel but doubting between two opportunities that she actually both want but that is impossible. She always wanted to study Italian and be on a real 'viaggi studio (http://www.esl.ch/it/viaggi-studio-estero.htm)' but a cousin of mine worked in Ghana and said that that was the most amazing experience of his life and gave the advise to do it too. She ask me to decide for her because she trust me to pick the right choice since ive done more travels already. So what am i going to suggest for her being a student in italy or being one of the volunteers overseas Ghana (http://www.cci-exchange.com/countries/ghana.shtml)? Thank you in advance all!

You should encourage your friend to study in Italy. Like they say, to each his own. Even though your cousin had an amazing experience in Ghana it doesn't mean your friend will have the same feeling, especially since that isn't her dream. Studying in Italy has been her dream, if she has the chance to fulfill it she should take it. Since this is something she has always desired I'm sure it will be an amazing and life altering experience for her. Encourage her to go, if not she may regret it later.
