I think that travelling is one of the most fun things to do! Getting to know the other culture, try the food and hear the other language. I especially enjoy it when I'm visiting a country with a warm climate. With good weather it's always much better to explore cities. My favourite country to travel through is Italy. It's nice, beautiful and most of the time the weather is incredible. Ever been to Venice? Not only visiting Venice is great, but staying in hotels in Venice (http://www.hotelsarea.com/en/c-194-list-hotels-Venice.html) is sometimes an adventure itself. This also counts for Valencia.

Some hoteles Valencia (http://valencia.hoteles.hotelius.com/) are amazing. It's a beautiful and lively city and has lots of places to visit! My second favourite country is totally different. England and than especially London! It's huge city with way too much to explore. It's a bit too expensive to stay in a hotel for a longer period, but the London hostels (http://www.hostelsclub.com/city-en-121-London.html) are really cosy and cheap at the same time!

If you do not travel during school holidays (take Christmas break mid December till mid January, summer holidays from mid June to mid September) you do not need to book ahead.
I like to phone in the night before I arrive, to be sure a bed is available, but if I arrive early in the day, I often do not even do that.
It might be that I will need to move farther out of the city center, but I never had to sleep in the street yet.

Hostelworld will accept bookings as short as 3 days before arrival, so if you feel better with a booked and paid reservation, and you can see three days ahead, you can still use Hostelworld.
Hosteling International has a system that when you stay in one of their hostels you can book from there for the next. Not all hostels are in the system, but it will take care of the difficult ones.

If you have to stay in a city a certain night because you have booked a train early the next day, it is worth booking ahead, but for the rest, do not worry.

If you tell us which month/dates you want to travel and what part of Europe, we can tell you which dates and which towns might be harder to get into.
