Best place inThailand for Family Trip

I am planning for a trip to Thailand around April 2009 along with my family. I have shortlisted 4 destinations in Thailand- BAngkok,Phuket,Pattaya and Koh Samui and we plan to visit one of the places. Pls guide what is the good time in the year to visit these places? and Which of these four places would be great for a family holiday?

Are you going alone??? Phuket is the best place to go. Unfortunetly, all of the coastal areas were affected. The great thing is, tourism is their greatest means of economical wealth so they fixed everything FAST! My husband & I went the following year after the Tsunami and it was beautiful! We went to several places 7 days on the River Kwai, Bangkok, Tiger Temple (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and Phuket. But...be careful if going alone. Have a GREAT Trip!
