I search for a good place for diving and Kiteboarding

Hi everyone! I'm Veronica. I'm from Québec City, Canada. I'm 30 years old.
Me and my husband travel a lot. We went to Cuba, Dominican Republic, Florida and we had stay in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico for 6 monts last year.

I'm crazy about diving and my husband is really into windsurfing. he started windsurfing at 13 years old....And now he want to try kiteboarding. So, that's why we want to go at a place , for our next vacation, where we can dive and kite!!
Right now Cabarete is our best bet..but if you think about somewhere else, let me know..every suggestions will be appreciated! Cabarete sounds great but maybe someone know a perfect secret place less crowdy...

Bonaire has great diving and great wind. It seems like it would be perfect for what you're looking for.

I just look at Bonaire yesterday! Looks AWESOME! for both, diving and kite!!
Perfect for me....but it's a 10 hours flight from Canada! Too much for my husband but I'll try to change his mind by showing him some great pictures!!

The philippines is a great place to go scuba diving both in Cebu and Bantayan Island. I spent my honeymoon there the entire trip for five days at a great beach resort cost me less than $200.00. We went on a diving trip while there, I didnt dive that trip but went along to take pictures which you can see on my web site. I have a home on Cebu but live most of the time in Texas. This reply may be a bit late but:
The diving on roatan is good, West Jet has a flight from Canada on Saturdays I dont know if it is a charter or public. I have recently opened a Kite board school on the east end of Roatan www.kitehonduras.com it is a bit off the beaten path. The closest resorts are Paya Bay, Royal Playa and The Reef House for lodging and diving. Hope you have a good time wherever you end up.

I think I'll agree with rocketman5047 with his suggestion on the Philippines as a destination for diving.. in fact, a team from the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICS will be doing some research work there before the end of the year, on what they believe to be some of the "rarest" marine life ever to exist on the planet and located in an area called TUBATAHA REEF in the Sulu Seas...

For diving, they recommended an area off the shore of the small town of Sipalay (in the Province of Occidental Negros, Region-6), the deepest part there of which is also part of the Sulu Seas. Within the area is a marine sanctuary where some researchers from the U.K./Coral Cay Conservation Group have there station at Danjugan Island.
A Dive-resort owned and operated by a Swiss diver could be your home away from home...
