Hello, I am desperately searching for a particular Islands Magazine edition.

Unfortunately, I do not know the volume or number, but I do remember some things about it. It was from the 1980s. There was an article on ballet, perhaps in Russia. There was also an article featuring some sort of circus. The cover had a building on it, and because of the sky and time of day the colors were various shades of bronze, orange, and pink.

I have been looking for this edition since I discovered that my mother mistakenly got rid of it in a move. I had been keeping this magazine since my childhood and it was truly magical to me.

If you have any suggestions on how I might obtain this beloved edition, it would be more than appreciated.

Thank you,

Amelia,
We have a pretty good library of back issues here in the ISLANDS office. I'm pretty sure you're looking for the Jan/Feb 1988 issue, which featured "Leningrad: Soviet Islands of Culture." That's one of the few times we've covered such a city in the magazine. Unfortunately, we only have one copy for our records. Is there a particular story in there that I can copy for you?
Best,

I have the issue with Leningrad and Hawaii. It is Volume 8 Number 1. Would you like it?
